About Us

An Introduction to Wisma Saberkas Shopping Complex

Wisma Saberkas was opened on the 22nd August 1985 by our ex Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad to a crowd of exciting shoppers. 

Wisma Saberkas shopping complex in the beginning, was built on the site of a former rice mill. Wisma Saberkas itself, was the first high rise shopping complex in town where its architectural wonder would instantly recognize the building from the air as a plane swooped past to land.

Opened in August 1985 to a grand fanfare, its first anchor tenant was Hibariya Supermarket and Departmental Store. The second anchor tenant after them was NgiuKee. Other pioneering anchor tenants like Public Bank, All Joy Food Centre, and Guardian still operates in the mall.

About Us

An Introduction to Wisma Saberkas Shopping Complex

Nowadays, Wisma Saberkas is known as a Premier No.1 ICT mall in the city. Every year, Wisma Saberkas shopping complex done various activities such as various bank roadshows, car roadshows, kids program, Esports competition, and the famous ICT Fair. 

Wisma Saberkas consists of a 21 stories building consisting of 7 floors of shopping complex and 13 floors of government officials’ offices. 

The government officials’ offices known as the podium in Wisma Saberkas houses government officials offices such as Malaysian Public Works Department (Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia), Jabatan Irrigation & Drainage Sarawak (JIDS), Jabatan Pergigian Bahagian Kucing, and the Jabatan Pertanian Malaysia (Bahagian Kawalan Racun Perosak Sarawak).
